Set Startup Programs in Windows 8

In previous versions of Windows, to set startup programs we just open Run > msconfig.exe and in appeared window find ‘Startup’ tab or click on Start > All Programs > Startup (and list the programs here by dragging icons) but in Windows 8 there is bit changes.

If you go through traditional style by typing msconfig, you will get the message to open ‘Task Manager’.

So, don’t go long, just type ‘Task Manager’ and get it.

Now, you can find ‘Startup’ option in Task Manager window.

Here you can disable any program by right clicking on it.

And if you want to add any program in Startup, you need to open this Startup folder, find it here

‘C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs’

And right click on folder ‘Startup’ and pin it to start.

And now you have the Startup folder available from the Metro Start screen.

Once you are in ‘Startup’ folder, right click to create a shortcut program.

Once you done, you can see the program in ‘Task Manager’ Startup list too.

I hope you like it. Thanks.
