Slow Keyboard Typing Response on Windows 8

Today when I uninstalled the Windows 8 Consumer Preview OS to install newly released Windows 8 Release Preview version OS and when I started using this OS I realized keyboard my responding very-very slow. I checked my keyboard connections and even replaced the keyboard by USB version but no use. After huge googling I found the solution that worked for me and the same I'm sharing this here.

(i) Open Control Panel
(ii) Click on "Ease of Access"
(iii) Click on "Set up Filter keys"
(iv) Click the Turn off Filter keys Check Box

And Problem Fixed.

  2. Thanks a lot, this works for now! (only been a little while since I changed it).
Also, the path was incorrect for Windows 8 Pro.

    Control Panel
    Ease of Access
    Change how your keyboard works
    Set up filter keys
Set up Repeat Keys and Slow Keys
TOGGLE Ignore all repeated keystrokes and set the top drop down to 0.0 seconds

(MAKE SURE TO APPLY AFTER EACH CHANGED SETTING)

  4. My filter key is not in the same place. it is actually
    Control Panel
    Ease of access Center
    Explore all settings
    Make Keyboard easy to use
then set up filter keys (in small print)
but is off in my computer anyway and still have that annoying slow down while type.
it changes to slow all of the suddent and won't go away unless I reboot the computer, but it comes backup sometimes immediately.
it is very frustrating. It happens mostly on the web browser and if one gets slow all the ohters gets slow.
I believe microsoft is trying to messup the other Browsers, I have heard of microsoft sending updates to mess with google chrome.
Please someone HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP. or I will kill this stupid WINDOWS 8.

  5. My FIX was cleaning the TEMP Folder under AppData on the user prifle.
Not easy to find the folder since AppData by default is hidding. You have to unhide it.
TO UNHIDE and then TRASH THE TEMP FILES DO. (WINDOS 8)
MY COMUPTER FOLDER,,, C: DRIVE,,, USERS,,,,, You Profile ( whichever name you have) exp: Adrian
AppData is not there... here the trick
at the top menu, click VIEW,,,, OPTIONS on the RIGTH TOP,,,, click CHANGE FOLDER and settings
Click VIEW,, in "advance settings" check " show hidden files, folders and drives ... click on.
close that window. you should now see the folder AppData.,,,, open it
Click on "Local",,,, look for the folder TEMP... open it.
now, everthing under TEMP can be deleted. it is temp files so it is safe to trash.
Before doing that ,, make sure every app is closed. close all all icons on the Notification bar ,... bottom righ corner. those are open apps as well.
if any still open the temp file corresponding to it won't close. that's ok. ignore it.
Your TYPING SHOULD GO BACK TO NORMAL.
Microsoft should publish this not me but is all good. we are here to help each other.
    God luck folks.
